A week of circular walks

We had intended to walk The Bracken Way in 2020, but uncertainty over Covid 19 restrictions meant we decided to 'play safe' and give ourselves some flexibility - just in case (as had already happened in other parts of the country) things changed at short notice.

All of our B&B accommodation was booked months ago, so instead of catching the train to Settle and walking the planned circuit, we took the car and did stuck to day walks.

Although not what we had originally planned, we had a fantastic time. The weather was generally fantastic with sun most days, so the walking was great with some amazing views, we stayed in some lovely B&Bs and had great food. We made the most of more relaxed start times and didn't miss that pressure to keep walking that sometimes creeps into long distance walking.

All-in-all a brilliant week ... and a great release from the monotony of lockdown and self-isolation.
